Belaṭṭhānika Belaṭṭhānikattheragāthā
He’s given up the household life,
but is far from perfect.
“Hitvā gihittaṁ anavositatto, Living for his belly, lazy,
he uses his snout as a plow,
Mukhanaṅgalī odariko kusīto; like a great hog stuffed with grain. Mahāvarāhova nivāpapuṭṭho, That dullard is reborn again and again. Punappunaṁ gabbhamupeti mando”ti.
