- The Legends of the Theras
366. {369.} Timirapupphiya
On CandabhÄgÄ Riverās bank,
I was going with the current.
I saw the Spotless One, Buddha,
like a regal sal tree in bloom.
Happy, with pleasure in my heart,
taking a timira flower
to the Supreme Pacceka-Sage,
I strew it on that Buddhaās head.
In the ninety-one aeons since
I did pÅ«jÄ with that flower,
Iāve come to know no bad rebirth:
thatās the fruit of Buddha-pÅ«jÄ.
The four analytical modes,
and these eight deliverances,
six special knowledges mastered,
I have done what the Buddha taught!
Thus indeed Venerable Timirapupphiya Thera spoke these verses.
