276. Potthadāyaka
I gave a plastering gift for
the Gift-Worthy, Unexcelled One
in the name of the Great Sage, the
Teacher, and the Teaching, and monks.
In the ninety-one aeons since
I did that good karma back then,
I’ve come to know no bad rebirth:
that’s the fruit of a plaster-gift.
The four analytical modes,
and these eight deliverances,
six special knowledges mastered,
I have done what the Buddha taught!
Thus indeed Venerable Potthadāyaka Thera spoke these verses.
