56.20. Actual
āBhikkhus, these four things are actual, unerring, not otherwise. What four?
āāThis is sufferingā: this, bhikkhus, is actual, unerring, not otherwise. āThis is the origin of sufferingā: this is actual, unerring, not otherwise. āThis is the cessation of sufferingā: this is actual, unerring, not otherwise. āThis is the way leading to the cessation of sufferingā: this is actual, unerring, not otherwise.
āThese four things, bhikkhus, are actual, unerring, not otherwise.
āTherefore, bhikkhu, an exertion should be made to understand: āThis is suffering.ā⦠An exertion should be made to understand: āThis is the way leading to the cessation of suffering.āā
