A Tree (3rd) Tatiyarukkhasutta

“Mendicants, of all the trees belonging to the titans, the Vivid Patala is said to be the best. “Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, ye keci asurānaṁ rukkhā, cittapāṭali tesaṁ aggamakkhāyati; In the same way, the faculty of wisdom is said to be the best of the qualities on the side of awakening; that is, for becoming awakened. evameva kho, bhikkhave, ye keci bodhipakkhiyā dhammā, paññindriyaṁ tesaṁ aggamakkhāyati, yadidaṁ—bodhāya. And what are the qualities on the side of awakening? Katame ca, bhikkhave, bodhipakkhiyā dhammā? The faculties of faith, energy, mindfulness, immersion, and wisdom are qualities on the side of awakening, in that they lead to awakening. Saddhindriyaṁ, bhikkhave, bodhipakkhiyo dhammo, taṁ bodhāya saṁvattati …pe… paññindriyaṁ bodhipakkhiyo dhammo, taṁ bodhāya saṁvattati. Of all the trees belonging to the titans, the Vivid Patala is said to be the best.
