Pleasure Sukhasutta

ā€œMendicants, there are these three feelings. ā€œTisso imā, bhikkhave, vedanā. What three? Katamā tisso?

Pleasant, painful, and neutral feeling. Sukhā vedanā, dukkhā vedanā, adukkhamasukhā vedanā—These are the three feelings. imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso vedanāti.

Whether it’s pleasant or painful, Sukhaṁ vā yadi vā dukkhaṁ, as well as what’s neutral, adukkhamasukhaṁ saha; whatever there is that is felt AjjhattaƱca bahiddhā ca, internally and externally: yaṁ kiƱci atthi veditaṁ.

having known, ā€˜this is suffering, Etaṁ dukkhanti Ʊatvāna, deceptive, breaking apart’, mosadhammaṁ palokinaṁ; seeing feelings vanish with every contact, Phussa phussa vayaṁ passaṁ, that’s how they become free of desire for them.ā€ evaṁ tattha virajjatÄ«ā€ti.
