āMendicants, a resident mendicant with five qualities is placed in hell as if delivered there. āPaƱcahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato ÄvÄsiko bhikkhu yathÄbhataį¹ nikkhitto evaį¹ niraye. What five? Katamehi paƱcahi? Theyāre stingy regarding monasteries, ÄvÄsamaccharÄ« hoti; families, kulamaccharÄ« hoti; material things, lÄbhamaccharÄ« hoti; and praise. vaį¹į¹amaccharÄ« hoti; And they waste a gift given in faith. saddhÄdeyyaį¹ vinipÄteti.
